西江大学是韩国的一所由天主教创办的著名大学,其GSIS课程,由西江大学国际研究生院提供,有国际贸易,国际金融,国际关系和东亚地区研究4个专业,均为英文授课的硕士和博士课程.并为中国学生提供包括生活费的全额奖学金.

Scholarship for Chinese Student, Spring Semester 2005

■ Major   - International Trade - International Finance - International Relations - Korea & East Asia   ※ Desired major has nothing to do with the major in undergraduate course. ※ All applicant can select one of above majors without regard to their major in undergraduate courses

■ Number of student: a few

■ Financial Aid and other benefit   - Full scholarship for Master's Program(4 semesters) - Additional aid: About 600,000 Won(US$520~$570) a month during school years. - The winner of this scholarship may be given preferential treatment on the job opportunity of Korean-invested company in China that sponsor this scholarship

■ Qualification   - The applicant must have graduated or be expected to graduate from an accredited four-year college, university or their equivalent before the semester for which the applicant intends to enroll. - All the applicant have to submit the Official TOEFL or IELTS score and the minimum required score is as follows; • TOEFL(CBT): 237 • IELTS : Level 7

■ Selection Process   1. Reviewing the application and other requirements by GSIS faculty 2. Interview • Applicant abroad will take a telephone interview • Interview date: January 20, 2005 3. Notice of result: January 24, 2005

■ Application Requirements   • Completed application form (download application form). • Degree (Bachelor or higher) or certificate of pending degree officially confirmed by the university. • Official transcripts of all colleges & graduate schools attended. • A statement of purpose in English: an essay (2 pages, double-spaced) that enunciates the reasons why the applicant is interested in the Sogang GSIS program, the applicant's life experiences, and future career plans. • Official TOEFL or IELTS score • 3 photos (5 x 6cm). • 1 copy of your visa(just in case who has already stayed in Korea) • 1 copy of your and your parents' passport or certificate of alien registration ※ All the application materials will be carefully reviewed by the faculty members.

■ Application fee: US$85

■ Application Deadline: January 14, 2005   ※ All the application requirements have to arrive at the Sogang GSIS by deadline.
